Although the cell phone industry continues to claim that their
products are safe, there is still no scientific data available
to prove this. Evidence to the contrary, however, is increasing
every day.
Ferrite Beads that attach easily
to cell phone headsets offer real protection against potentially
dangerous cell phone radiation.
In essence, your cell phone is a
radio. When you talk on your cell phone, your voice is
transmitted from the antenna as radio frequency radiation (RFR)
between 800 MHz and 1,990Mhz. This frequency falls in the range
of microwave radiation and, when you are exposed to it, there is
a significant chance you can have serious health consequences.
Depending on how close the cell
phone antenna is to your head, between 20% and 60% of the
radiation emitted by your cell phone is transferred into your
head. The radiation actually penetrates the area around your
head and is absorbed, with some radiation reaching an inch, to
an inch and a half, into your brain.
Cell phones are designed to
transmit radio waves in all directions because base stations can
be located in any direction with respect to phone users. This
means that portions of the radio waves they produce are directed
towards your body.
If you have a cell phone that can work on speakerphone then you
already have your solution. You simply need to use your
speakerphone. Doing so will greatly decrease your exposure to
both EMFs and radio frequencies (RF).
However, using a speaker phone
can present a problem if you are in a noisy environment or it
just isn't convenient to use. If this is a case, you can use a
ferrite bead attached to your headset as another option.
While they do not block EMFs,
ferrite beads will effectively knock out your cell phone's radio
frequencies, decreasing their tissue-heating effects on your
brain.
If you are a regular cell phone
user, this simple bit of technology could literally SAVE YOUR
LIFE.
Step 1
Open Ferrite Bead and disconnect your
headset wire from your cell phone as shown in the figure
to the left.
Step 2
Loop headset wire around itself one time,
creating a loop large enough to fit over the length of
the Ferrite Bead.
Be sure to make the loop close to the
end of the wire that plugs into your cell phone.
Step 3
Place looped section of headset wire over
one side of the Ferrite Bead.
Be sure to have the section where the
looped wire crosses itself against the inside surface of
the Ferrite Bead.
Lengthen this crossed section so that
each side of the loop, touching the inside of the
Ferrite Bead, spans the entire length of the Ferrite
Bead.
Step 4
Once the headset wire is properly in
place, pull either end so the wire fits snuggly around
the Ferrite Bead.
Step 5
Close the Ferrite Bead securely and plug
the headset wire back into your phone.
Ferrite
diodes can easily attach to cell phone headsets and may offer
real protection against potentially dangerous cell phone
radiation. Ferrite diodes are common in the electronics
and computer industry. For example, look at the cable
which connects your computer monitor to your computer
and you will see a ferrite diode molded into the cable
near one or both ends.
