You can make
your own golden section/mean gauge using the template to
the right. Click on the template to get a full size
image, then print the image for a template. It works
best if you construct it from heavy cardboard stock,
plastic or heavy vinyl stock. Drill holes, then place a
brad at each of the designated points. When the gauge is
adjusted, the middle arm will always show the golden
section or phi ratio point between the two outer arms.

If you have a
printer capable of printing transparencies, you can
print the "Golden Section Ruler" and use it to see the
golden section and phi ratio of various objects. Click
on the template to get a full size image, then print the
image for a template. Simply place the transparency on
the object or drawing you wish to measure and match the
lines up to the shape of the object to see if its design
is based on the golden section.
